Last week, Chesley Blevins arranged for a group of professional men and women who work in the domestic violence field to meet with me. Ches works for the County of San Diego. Violence abatement is his speciality.
I met Ches a few weeks ago. He became interested in The Freedom Step right away. He thought that perhaps this energy healing approach to unresolved emotional pain could assist professionals in the field with another tool. Last Friday, fifteen people came to the Scripps Wellness Center in La Jolla and we had a two hour meeting. None of the attendees had any previous knowledge or expectations regarding TFS. I honor each of them for their dedication to what they do and for their interest in a new path.
Six of them bought the book!
I feel a strong pull coming from the domestic violence arena. Today, I posted an article entitled "Violence...It's an Addiction."
On pp 83 & 84 of The Mind Whisperer, I talk about the primordial response to guilt and shame by the two to three-year-old child. One of the first responses to this irresolvable pain is violence. This is a learned behavior that the child employs to resolve the pain. It never works, and it continues to grow just like all addictive behavior.
