How to Stop the Worry...Think...Worry...Think...DO SOMETHING! Cycle

"What are you worried about?"

"Nothing."

Nonsense! Everybody is worried about something. If you are not, good for you. Just think about that for a moment. See? You are worried about something. Everybody is. Worry feeds an energy of unresolved emotional pain in our bodies, or it reminds us of pain that is already there. If that energy is not released and resolved, it grows. It's a virus. It eats the host (that would be us).

For me, the reality is that in order to "have to" think, I have to worry. In order to worry, I have to think. Those two go hand in hand.

Whenever I worry (think), I find that I think I need to "do something" about it. I become anxious. I motivate myself to "do something" with the negative charge of worry fed by my ego-driven mind. More often than not, when I do what I feel that I need to do, it feeds the negative energy from which it was created and the cycle continues. The pain grows.

Because we occupy these human vessels, it is virtually impossible not to do something. We cannot not do. That's OK. When the need to do something is motivated and created by worry, that is not OK.

  • I allow myself to do absolutely nothing (except release and resolve).
  • I experience a wonderful, abundant life in peace.

Once I realize how the mind/worry machine works, I am able to then release the need to think/worry/do something. I become still with the awareness that what is...is. There is nothing that needs to be done. I have the freedom to be.

Do not worry. Breathe! There is really nothing that you have to do.
