October 2009 Newsletter

Hi everybody.

The Freedom Step is bringing its healing message to an ever-expanding group of people. Since its publication last year, sales of The Mind Whisperer have been most encouraging. We have begun self-publishing the book. The Freedom Step now has an Audio book and E-book. See the “Commercial break” below.

The Freedom Step has also formed and has been approved as a 501c(3) corporation. This will function as a separate non-profit entity. We formed this charity to allow us to make The Freedom Step program available at no cost to everyone who needs it but cannot afford it. This includes, of course, all those organizations and entities bringing comfort and healing to:

  • Alcoholics and drug addicts,
  • Men, women and children involved in relationship violence,
  • Prisoners (incarcerated and recently released) and their families,
  • Those whose activities are blocked by PTSD,
  • Others as needs and opportunities manifest.

If you have any suggestions or ideas as to how The Freedom Step can assist in these communities, please let us know. Your thoughts and support are deeply appreciated.

Commercial break: Please take a look at our “new” (www.thefreedomstep.com) website. Note: PDF and MP3 download samples from the book are available to members of the site.  Now folks can take a look at more of The Mind Whisperer and listen to portions of the Audio book, free of charge, to help them decide if they want even more. The E-book and the MP3 Audio book are downloadable at a very reasonable price. We now offer the bound book for sale directly on the website.

I have conducted a number of sessions at various groups here in San Diego in the past year. I have been a guest speaker at others. This past month I was a guest on two radio shows and was interviewed on a local TV show.

We continue to reach out to those in the community interested in a solution to the domestic (relationship) violence challenge facing so many of us and our families. The Freedom Step’s approach has met with much support in the professional community, but has not caught fire. I resonate very strongly that The Freedom Step program will become a wonderful gift to those who strive so diligently to prevent such destructive behavior. Remember, please remember, the kids do not deserve this. In fact, who does??

We are in the early planning stages to conduct a healing and training conference here in the San Diego area early next year, probably in February. We will keep you advised on that.

Our team is putting a curriculum together to enter the educational field. We intend to apply with the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District in their Community Learning program. We will also let you know how that develops.

As always, I am deeply grateful for your continued interest and support.
