During these past two months, I have been able to bring The Freedom Step healing program into lots of different venues. I did some sessions at a few recovery homes for women. These events occurred because I was invited by someone in the facility. The managers trust that The Freedom Step brings something of value to the residents. It is such a joy to watch participants discover the healing that takes place only through their own efforts, and it works with amazing consistency. I observe at least one true miracle of healing in each of these visits, often more. The experience of Pure Awareness that happens for the first time in their life underscores the extraordinary value of this simple, powerful, elegant program.

Some of you may know that last month I met Chesley Blevins, MPH who is with San Diego County's Office of Violence Prevention. After a short informal meeting with Ches, he became interested in The Freedom Step right away. He thought that perhaps this energy healing approach to unresolved emotional pain could assist professionals in the field with another tool. On October 3rd, 15 DV professionals came to the Scripps Wellness Center in La Jolla where we met for two hours. None of the attendees had any previous knowledge or expectations regarding TFS. I provided them with a rather extensive evaluation form, asking for their take on our session.

The survey report gave The Freedom Step high marks for this session, saying, in part, "... when asked if they would like to learn more about the Freedom Step protocols, 100% of respondents reported  a resounding ‘yes.' Overall, the professionals that attended this workshop felt that the experience was very valuable, that the presenter was ‘enthusiastic" and ‘inspiring", and that the explanations and examples/analogies were very relevant. The experiential portion of the workshop was reported to be especially valuable to these individuals."

Surveys such as this will be of extraordinary value as we seek financial assistance (grants, donations, etc.) for the non-profit corporation now in formation. It is our intention to provide training for interested practitioners to become teachers and coaches, proficient in the healing techniques of The Freedom Step. In this way, The Freedom Step energy healing protocols can move out into the community, assisting wherever unresolved emotional pain is destroying people.

The Mind Whisperer: The Freedom Step Out of Slavery is selling quite well. Thus far the sales have been, for the most part, from my own personal stock and have been achieved without advertising or outside promotion. Word of mouth has been my sales assistant. It is also available at a couple of independent book stores and on Amazon & Barnes and Noble.com. People have bought more than 200 copies since June. I'm told that's good. Readers seem to like the book a great deal.  

I expect to have the audio book available in a few months.

The Freedom Step's Inaugural Public Presentation

On Saturday, July 12, I think that most of you know that we made the first public presentation of The Freedom Step's first step. That took place at the Ideal Hotel, the headquarters of the amazing Red Lotus Society (www.redlotussociety.org). Thirty-five people attended the session. We also had the first book-signing for The Mind Whisperer: The Freedom Step Out of Slavery.

In the second hour of the two-hour presentation, nearly everyone in the room was participating in an exercise of coaching each other on Step 1. This was a powerful experience for lots of people. The bell rang and many experienced healing.

The event was extremely well received by attendees. Twenty-one folks filled out the questionnaire. It was pretty simple, really:

• Was the material presented easy to understand? (Y) (N)
• Would you recommend future sessions to your colleagues or family? (Y) (N)
• Please provide a few thoughts that may assist us in improving the Freedom Step program and future presentations. [___]

I am pleased to report that all who replied circled (Y)! The thoughts that were provided were very supportive, the suggestions very well thought-out and helpful. What was most gratifying and powerful for me was to watch thirty or more people working together in groups of three, enabling one another to heal from emotional pain. These were people who, just one hour before, did not know each other. That's power!

A Nonprofit Corporation

We are forming a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation within The Freedom Step. Our Mission Statement has not changed since the formation of The Freedom Step. We will do whatever we are able to assist our sisters and brothers in taking the step out of the bondage of unresolved emotional pain into the joy of pure awareness. In order to effectively accomplish this, we need dedicated coaches in The Freedom Step program who will be willing to take it to schools, hospitals, prisons, elder-care centers, virtually everywhere there is a pressing need for energy healing such as we have to offer.

That takes juice...$. A nonprofit corporation is eligible for grants and other donations, not available to us at present.

Gratitude

I continue to be grateful to everyone who continues to assist The Freedom Step as we bring our Mission out to the world.. Brigitte Taylor helped me conduct the Ideal Hotel event and Steve Oliver continues to bring life to the website (Master!)

Stephen Jones continues to bring his colleagues into the circle. He also convinces me now and again to attend some event at a location that I have never heard of so that I can meet someone with whom I seemingly have little in common. So far every one has been a miracle.

The list of well-wishers and associates is too long to attempt here. I just want all of you to know how deeply I appreciate your love and support.

Coming Up

On August 16^th from 1to 4PM, Controversial Bookstore will host a book-signing and seminar that will be similar to last Saturday's event. Should be powerful, as we will have more time to help each other heal.

Brigitte Taylor and I will conduct a two-hour seminar (working title, "Breaking Through Love Addiction") at the Controversial Bookstore on August 30^th beginning @ 1PM.
